Planning Engineer (New Construction)
The RealtyCom Planning Engineer reports to the Sr. Director of Planning and Engineering and requires a high degree of design skills both conceptually and with applicable construction/design related software programs. The position requires a detailed understanding of telecommunication infrastructure in multi-family developments (garden, mid-rise and high-rise) as well as service provider architecture, equipment components and space requirements. This position also demands high level understanding of the new construction business, and RealtyCom’s new construction processes.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- LV Design Responsibilities – Perform the Schematic and LV Design Review obligations within RCP SOW.
- Reach out to client for design plans after NB Kick Off Call
- Prepare biding plans and send to VP Construction to initiate bidding process
- Perform design review following Google Sheet Design Checklist tool.
- Review architectural plans for space allocations in MPOE, IDF and other communication related rooms/pathways
- Use Google Sheet LV Design Tracking tool for design review so that all elements of RCP Scope are performed.
- Review LV plans against the Basis of Design and prepare gap analysis for the client design team to review and comment.
- Track progress of design and implementation of changes outlined in the gap analysis with client low voltage design teams so that service provider and LV subs have what they need for successful installation
- Coordinate and host in person or video conference calls to resolve design related space and pathway issues with client consistent with contemplated (or executed) service provider agreements. Provide follow up emails listing open items and use judgement in the best way to track progress and completion of open items with client and client’s sub-contractors.
- Respond to RCP Field Engineer questions regarding project design, joint trench/dry utility components and service provider equipment and technical specifications or installation processes.
- Update SF LV Plan Critical Date Sections with every event as moving to Final LV Plans Received by Client.
- Attach latest plans to appropriate fields and make comments so that version control is maintained.
- Track all time by project in RCP time tracking tool
- Out of Scope Design Review
- AA Scope confirmation which is typically between 5 and 10 hours of design review services.
- Track time to know when allotted hours are near expiring
- Update SF time tool (task/client/project)
- Manage process for NB DPDE Billing for Out of Scope Work
- Attend Client Kick off calls and recurring calls until design elements of the project have been completed.
- Attend service provider calls when necessary for RCP technical support and address any open design related items.
- Resource for technical recommendations to clients.
- Manage any third party contractor support for Design Review workload that may be necessary.
- Participate in interview process for FE, PM and Design Review candidates for new employment.
- Designate projects and responsibilities for Planning Engineers and collaborate with Sr. Director of Planning and Engineering in management of the team.
- Participate in New Construction Client meetings when appropriate.
- Hosting of client and provider recurring calls, including preparation of agenda and follow-up emails.

This position is full time and with eight-hour workdays from home office setting. Travel is expected for project related matters, client management, annual training seminar and other training opportunities.

Junior Account Manager
The Jr. Account Manager reports to the Senior Client Account Manager (“CAM”). This is an entry-level position with room to grow for the right candidate who wishes to take over their own portfolio of clients.
JOB OVERVIEW / DESCRIPTION
A Jr. Account Manager must have excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to follow directions and processes well, while managing deadlines. Good working knowledge of Microsoft required (including Outlook, Word, Excel). The right candidate must possess a positive attitude and work well with their teammates and colleagues, but also have the ability to work on detailed projects and tasks independently.
This role supports all client activities at the direction of the CAM and will work with other departments as necessary to provide administrative support.
- Responsible to assist CAM with day-to-day operations, including but not limited to:
- Entering new properties in CRM (Salesforce) and tracking progress to report contract Due Diligence
- Preparing executive deal summaries based on financial summary/proposal terms
- Detailed review of proposed agreements in redline and proposed final for execution
- Creating/Finalizing checklists and documenting workflow
- Creating PDF’s and basic updates to financial summaries in Excel
- Drafting emails to clients and external vendors
- Possess excellent organizational systems to follow up on emails to keep track of issues until resolution
- Auditing Client property lists to our database
- Ensuring notes in CRM are kept up to date for project workflow and client consistency
- Draft agendas for monthly/quarterly client calls
- Sitting in on client and internal calls
- Take effective notes with action items
- Run reports from Salesforce as needed
- Assist CAM with preparation of quarterly statistics presented during staff meetings
- Participate in monthly in person Client Services meetings
- Notetaking and creating agendas for team and individual meetings
- Learning industry, company and client intricacies
- Build internal relationships to develop significant presence and expertise for RealtyCom
- Pull reporting and assist in preparation of agendas with outside vendors and partners
- Ongoing Special Projects and administrative duties as assigned
- Additional duties as assigned
This is a full-time remote position (40 hours a week) with primary working hours between 8:30am – 5:00pm Pacific Monday through Friday. Ideally, this candidate is in the Bay Area and will join in person team meetings and individual training at our office located in San Rafael, CA as needed.
Salary range is $60,000-65,000/year with benefits (health/dental/vision), Paid Time Off, 401k savings option, fun office events/perks, professional development encouraged, permanent remote work environment & want to be part of a collaborative and supportive team.
